In comparison with the first quarter of the last year in "KSCP" JSCthe steady increase both import (+19,9 %), and export cargoes (12,6 %) is observed. Volumes of coke (2 times), fertilizers in bulk (1,7 times) demonstrate positive dynamics. The turnover of containers steadily grows: for the first quarter it is handled 33 092 TEU, that is 25,1 % more than the similar period of the last year. Export of black oil is invariably increasing, for three months it is handled 168,2 thousand tons, growth has made 46,3 %.

With the beginning of spring warm weather in Kaliningrad area the peak of seasonal road-building works has started. It also touches directly the Kaliningrad sea commercial port. So in March, 2008 it is handled 2,5 times more of crushed stone than for the similar period of the last year, for a quarter the volume has increased 3 times. Daily under processing there is one vessel with crushed stone and minimum 3 vessels are simultaneously unloaded for some time past. Basically because of using internal reserves, more competent scheduling and optimization of work of all port divisions the enterprise copes with a numerous increase in cargo turnover. 4 berths in the port are allocated for crushed stone handling and new modern reloading equipment is bought. Development of port infrastructure depends directly on the development of our region.
